— Beitar Illit, Israel —

Beit Midrash Kahal Chassidim was established by HaRav Mordechai Halperin, in Beitar Illit, Israel Beit Midrash Kahal Chassidim was established in 1993. Led by Rabbi Mordechai Halperin, the facilities and campus around the building are crowded with people from the morning until the late hours of the night. There is a resource center for research and consultation in matters of Torah law, where Rabbi Halperin presides, answering questions posed by residents of the community.

Beit Midrash Kahal Chassidim has become a central location for every cultural group — Ashkenasim, Sephardim and Chassidim alike fill the main synagogue and the numerous study rooms — learning together, researching Talmudic law and participating in community activities. There are minyanim around the clock so both the early-risers and those who daven later can find a prayer quorum of ten people.

Admorim and Chashuveh Rabbanim have come to visit the Kahal Chassidim Beit HaMidrash. They have offered heartfelt blessings that it will emerge as prized community resource and a source of vitality for those who seek G-d — and to the great joy of the neighborhood, these blessings have come true.

The new complex, built under the direction of Rabbi Halperin includes a spacious and modern mikveh, the Beit Midrash with its reference library and even a simcha hall for community events and activities, such as brit milahs or a bar mitzvah gatherings.

An Institution Overflowing With
Community Life

The new Community Center is home to the Yeshiva and Kollel Derech P'Kudechah The Kahal Chassidim buildings and campus are located in a newly constructed area of Beitar Illit, on a scenic mountain crest in the Judean Hills. Every day, Lev LeZulat and other organizations hold Brit Milahs, Bar Mitzvahs and Sheva Brochot for brides and grooms in the spacious simcha hall. Lev LeZulat volunteers are always on call to help with preparations, cook the meals and even wait on tables.

As always, outreach and education are of primary importance. From the outset, this building was designed to house a yeshivah for younger students and a kollel for the continuing education of fathers and older students. With the addition of Beit Midrash Kahal Chassidim, the city of Beitar has become a grand citadel of Torah wisdom.
